Three Impactful Questions
The angel said to her, “Hagar, Sarai’s servant, where have you come from, and where are you going?” “I’m running away from my mistress, Sarai,” she replied. (Genesis 16:8 NLT)
Why would the angel ask a question that he already knew the answer to? Because the question was less about finding an answer and more about seizing a moment. A moment to reflect on the past and to consider the future. For many, this season our world finds itself in affords the opportunity to stop, reflect, and consider. But only if we seize it!
Here are three great questions to consider during the #CoronaChaos or #CoronaCation, depending on your perspective…
Where Can I Grow?
During the 17th century, young Isaac Newton was sent home from college for more than a year during the spread of the plague, along with all other students. It was during that time some of his greatest theories were developed. Now, you and I may not come up with a scientific truth that changes the world during this time, however, there are some things that can change your world! Maybe it is focusing on your marriage, children, finances, a future career, or a current challenge.
What Can I Learn?
Never in all of time has one person had so much access to knowledge, yet so little time to access it. There are a number of things that successful people have in common, one of which is, they most often consider themselves to be life-learners. Always consuming information and stretching their understanding of the world around them. So what are you watching, listening to, or reading?
Who Can I Help?
This question is probably the most impactful of them all because of its outward focus and immeasurable trickle-down effect. The term “social distancing” has become a buzz word during the recent international pandemic, yet it is possibly the last thing we need to do. Although being physically distant is prudent, having a meaningful connection is the most important thing people need right now!
So who can you help, what can you learn, and where can you grow?
