Meet Veronica
Meet Veronica, a young woman from the Czech Republic whose life was once filled with turmoil and despair. Her story is a testament to the importance of building places where hurting people find lasting hope.
Growing up, Veronica lived a seemingly ordinary life until her parents’ relationship took a turn for the worse. Their constant fighting, driven by her father’s jealousy, created a tumultuous home environment. Despite her parents’ assurances, Veronica knew the chaos was all too real.
After her parents divorced, her father struggled deeply, succumbing to alcoholism and depression. This period was marked by his erratic behavior, including crashing the family car and destroying property. Compounding her pain, Veronica lost both her grandparents in the same month, which was a devastating blow that left her feeling completely shattered.
In an attempt to cope with her overwhelming grief as a young teenager, Veronica turned to drugs and alcohol. She isolated herself, stayed in bed for days at a time, and neglected school. The once vibrant young girl was now engulfed in a cloud of despair, lashing out at her siblings and losing hope for the future.
Amidst this darkness, a friend from school introduced Veronica to Church Without Borders. Skeptical but desperate for change, she attended a service in January of this year. What she experienced that day was nothing short of miraculous. The worship and sense of community moved her to tears. Veronica felt a profound sense of joy and happiness for the first time in a long while.
Veronica realized that God might be real and that the church could be the sanctuary she had been seeking. The transformation was swift and remarkable. Every visit to the church filled her with an unexplainable sense of peace and fulfillment. She embraced her newfound faith wholeheartedly, attending services regularly and immersing herself in the supportive community.
Now, Veronica is preparing for baptism, a significant step in her spiritual journey. Her life has been radically changed, and she feels a strong calling to study theology and help others find their way to God. Veronica’s dream is to support people in their struggles, just as she found support during her darkest times.
Veronica’s journey from despair to hope illustrates the incredible impact of faith and community. Through Church Without Borders, she found a new purpose and a new family. Veronica’s story is a beacon of hope for anyone struggling to find their way, proving that even in the darkest moments, there is always a path to light.

Albania - Durres Church
Waiting on government permits to begin construction.
Antigua - Youth Ministry Center
Footings being poured. Building arrives on 7/29/2024. First team scheduled for November 1, 2024 and will set up the building.
Bahamas - Marsh Harbour
The structure is in place. Foundation will be completed soon. Team-ready.
Belgium - Continental Theological Seminary - Phase 1
New dormitory is 90% complete. Building dedication is scheduled for October 5, 2024.
Bosnia - Valley of Blessing Youth Camp
FINISHED! Ribbon-cutting ceremony and dedication service held on July 6, 2024!
Builders International - Building Renovation
Interior complete – finalizing punch list items. Exterior to be painted mid-July.
Chile - Santiago Children’s Ministry Center
Building redesign currently in process.
Colombia - Justice & Bible Institute
Construction contract signed the week of 7/15/24.
Cuba - Church Construction
Scheduling teams now to work on a variety of church projects across Cuba.
Czech Republic - Church Without Borders
Some demo continues while remodel has begun with plaster on walls and windows done.
Ecuador - Timothy’s Abode
Currently working on outside projects – retaining walls, lighting, gardens, parking, etc.
Ecuador - Jungle Bible School
Final building is the prayer tower, which is now underway – steel structure is up and exterior walls are next.
El Salvador - Marriage & Family Counseling Center
First and second floors complete and in use. Finishing construction on third level. Teams scheduling now.
France - Beauvais Church
Construction team will be on the ground mid-October from South Texas Ministry Network.
France - Multiple Church Project
Just completed a Spring fundraising vision trip. A fall vision trip is planned for late September.
Germany - Haus Antioch Ministry Center
Recently purchased new appliances, planning for a new kitchen install by September. A video team will be onsite in August to capture the opening ceremony of flags along with students and families who will be in town to begin the new school year.
Honduras - Jehovah Jireh Church
Construction began on July 10 for this fully-funded church project on the island of Roatan.
India - Calcutta Mercy Hospital
Fundraising has just begun for a variety of interior and exterior remodel projects.
Israel - Jerusalem School Bethlehem
Finalizing plans for the building and getting final permissions from the Municipality. In the process of selecting a contractor. Construction to begin in August.
Kosovo - The Hope Center
Finalizing project – nearing completion!
Mexico - Restoration of Life Church
The community has experienced a severe drought halting construction. They hope to restart construction soon if they get enough rain.
Mexico - Morelia Bible School
Close to completion. One team and $10K could wrap it up. Still needed – exterior/interior painting and six toilet installs.
Nicaragua - Casa de Mi Gloria - Managua Campus
Foundation work is in progress. Scheduling teams now to work on project.
Nicaragua - Casa de Mi Gloria - Nindiri
Finished!! Ribbon-cutting ceremony and dedication service took place November 2023.
Nicaragua - Casa de Mi Gloria - Ticuantepe

Still needs construction. Scheduling teams now to work on project.
Nicaragua - Central Bible Institute
Phase One is 85% complete. Excitement is in the air as classes are anticipated to begin in the new facility by September.
Panama - Panama 100
SheBUILDS team onsite now to build a church. Another team follows the next week to build an additional church.
Philippines - Happy Horizons Children’s Ranch
Blueprints complete on new teacher dorm that will meet government ratio regulations to allow more girls to be rescued from exploitation and live on campus. Construction will begin as funds are available.
Poland - 700 Cities Training Center
Six teams scheduled this year to help with interior finishings!
Scotland - Bridge Family Church
The installation of the new floor joists and subfloor for the community cafe is complete, as is the hardibacker for the tile. Painting and flooring will begin soon.
Serbia - Crossroads Rehabilitation Center
Remodeling and expansion project to offer deliverance for more people. Scheduling teams now.
Slovakia - Kendice Church
Windows and doors are in. Interior work is nearing completion. Finishing work is ready to begin. Scheduling teams now.
Spain - International Media Ministries - Madrid
Not yet launched. Waiting on funds to begin construction projects.
Spain - Project Rescue Safe House - Melilla
Groundbreaking Ceremony took place in April 2024. Foundation is underway.
Spain - Barcelona International Church
Deomolition continues. Scheduling teams now.
Spain - Mallorca Christian Center
Construction complete, but funding still needed!
Spain - The Garden: Missionary Respite House
Remodel projects continue. Scheduling teams now.
Sri Lanka - Navinna Church
Finished! Ribbon-cutting ceremony and dedication service took place June 2024!
Suriname - Powakka Church
Funding needed to finish construction.
Taiwan - Agape Church Plant - Zhunan
The church took out a loan in faith, and now the work is complete! Builders is working on funding to help them repay the loan.
Ukraine - Hope in Action Medical Ministry Center
Construction on hold due to Ukrainian War.
Ukraine War Reconstruction - Phase One
Funds are continually being sent to help rebuild churches across Ukraine.
Uruguay - Hope for Uruguay 100
Twenty-six churches completed, dedicated, and in use! Teams begin after missionaries return to the country from itineration in mid-2024.
Vanuatu - Tanna Mission Center
Construction is progressing full-speed ahead! The pastor/coordinating house and outdoor restrooms are finished. Now working to finish the ministry training center. Planned to be finished by end of 2024.
