Recovering From Ruin
Hurricane Irma ravaged several Caribbean island nations last September, including the British Virgin Islands.
Builders International and Convoy of Hope will join efforts in some long-term recovery work to rebuild throughout communities of the British Virgin Islands.
I visited the site a few weeks ago, along with some of the Builders’ design and construction team, David Damron, Chris Blackard, and Dale Williams. We witnessed first-hand the utter wreckage on these islands.
The huge amount of damage and destruction still so evident was a surprise. It is certainly time to rebuild!
Builders and Convoy will collaborate together to rebuild a school on one of the main islands, Jost Van Dyke, which encountered complete devastation.
